Cabaret Class

The “Acting With Integrity” Cabaret Class is a really fun way to combine the acting work with music! As a musical theatre actress, I learned early in my career that each song must be approached as an acting piece. How often have we been bored to death by a beautiful voice that has no inflection or no understanding of the lyrics? I would much rather listen to someone who isn’t a trained singer sing me a song when they are actually telling me the story. So, if you have ever been interested in singing and maybe feel a bit insecure about your voice, this class is for you. I will work diligently with you to find material that not only fits your voice but is material that you truly connect with on a deep level of expression.

Musical Theatre History

This class is structured on a 6 week curriculum. The first three weeks are spent working on scenes and monologues and the last three weeks, taught in tandem with a music director, focus on solos and duets. All materials chosen during class will revolve around a theme. The end goal of each Cabaret class is to have a full show to be performed locally for friends and family.

SCHEDULE: This class meets for 3 hours once a week.

COST: The cost is $150.00 per student for the 6 week cabaret class.
